Zeta Amicae auxiliaries are a collective group of professional women, who lend assistance & support of local graduate chapters in upholding the activities, objectives, and ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated & do not possess a four year college degree.
Zeta Amicae of Rutherford County, was chartered November 15th, 2023 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Zeta Amicae of Rutherford County auxiliary is sponsored by, The Sophisticated Sigma Chi Zeta chapter of the Rutherford County Zetas.
In the Fall of 2023, Sigma Chi Zeta sought consent & approval to charter a Zeta Amicae chapter auxiliary. Under the guidance of TN State Director Joyce Murphy, International Coordinator, Calandra Jones-McDonald, & TN State Amicae Coordinator Rosalyn all requirements were met and the Zeta Amicae of Rutherford County, TN was chartered.
Under the tenure of the 26th International President Dr. Stacie N.C. Grant, and approval from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Soror Dana J. Smith, presiding President of Sigma Chi Zeta appointed Sorors Valerie M. Mabry and Tasha Overton sponsors of the auxiliary. On December 15th five “Friends of Zeta” were inducted as the chartering members of the Zeta Amicae of Rutherford County Auxiliary during the 75th Anniversary year of Zeta Amicae inception. This historical occasion was commemorated with the presence of the 21st South Central Regional Director - Kenya L. Washington, Tennessee State Amicae Coordinator - Rosalyn Pope, Tennessee State Amicae President - Cassandra Pendleton, Tennessee State Amicae Vice-President - Dorothy Tatum, & members of The Sophisticated Sigma Chi Zeta chapter of the Rutherford County Zetas.
